Henry Ian Cusick Stars in the Inspiring ‘Just Let Go’
The movie synopsis reads:
On a cold February night in 2007, a devoted father of four and a seventeen-year-old drunk driver both received life sentences. In one violent, devastating instant, each faced a drastically different and uncertain future. But as Chris Williams sat in his demolished vehicle, staring at the car that had just caused the death of his wife, his unborn baby, his nine-year-old daughter, and his eleven-year-old son, he committed to do something extraordinary: he would forgive.
Christopher Williams made a decision that changed the rest of his life: He forgave the drunk driver who had killed his pregnant wife and two children in a car accident.
Williams chose to “unconditionally forgive” the 17-year-old driver because he knew it was what God and his late wife wanted him to do.
“Whoever has done this to us, I forgive them,” Williams said. “I don’t care what the circumstances were, I forgive them.”
“Forgiveness is a source of power,” he said. “But it does not relieve us of consequences.”
Just Let Go comes to select U.S. movie theaters with a night of forgiveness on September 28, presented live at 8:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. CT and tape-delayed to 7:00 p.m. MT / 8:00 p.m. PT, by Fathom Events. The film opens in select theaters on October 9.
