Kris Jenner Will ‘Always Feel Guilty’ Over Nicole Brown Simpson’s Death

It has been 20 years since the O.J. Simpson murder trial, but Kris Jenner says she is still haunted by her best friend’s death.

The Kardashian/Jenner matriarch thinks she should’ve done more given the red flags raised by Nicole Brown Simpson in the weeks leading up to her death. In a new documentary entitled The Secret Tapes of the O.J. Case: The Untold Story, Jenner opens up about her friend’s murder, and the intense guilt she feels for not being able to save her.

I will always feel guilty that I didn’t pay more attention and didn’t speak up when I thought anything was wrong or asked her more, ‘Do you want to talk about it?’

Nicole was found stabbed to death outside her Los Angeles, Calif. home in 1994. Her football star husband was charged with murder, but was eventually acquitted, sparking national outcry. Jenner’s late ex-husband Robert Kardashian worked on his defense team, and that put a major strain on his relationship with the mother of his children.

At the end of Nicole’s life, I think she finally was at a place where she knew she had to be more vocal with what was going on and she was in trouble. The one thing she would tell all of us by the time, you know, it got to that level was, ‘He’s going to kill me and he’s going to get away with it.’

O.J. is currently serving a 33-year prison sentence in Nevada on 2007 felony robbery and kidnapping charges. He broke into a Las Vegas hotel room and stole sports memorabilia at gunpoint.

The Secret Tapes of the O.J. Case: The Untold Story airs Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. ET on LMN.
