Janet Jackson’s ‘Unbreakable’ Just Became Her Seventh Number One Album

She’s simply legendary.

Janet Jackson’s latest album, Unbreakable, has just reached number one status. That makes it her SEVENTH studio album to do so.

On Sunday (Oct. 11) the album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, with The Weeknd’s Beauty Behind the Madness at number two, and Drake and Future sit at number three with What a Time to Be Alive.

Janet’s also celebrating another milestone– she has now become the third artist to hit number one across the last four decades, according to BillboardJanet joins artists Barbara Streisand and Bruce Springsteen, both of whom have achieved number one albums in every decade since the 80’s.

Unbreakable is Janet’s first album since 2008’s Discipline, and was released on her independent label, Rhythm Nation.
