American Music Awards 2015 Nominees: Taylor Swift Leads the Pack

AMAs Flashback
Best and worst dressed from the 2014 show.

Are you surprised, though?

Taylor Swift could make American Music Awards history next month if she takes home all her trophies at next month’s show. Early Tuesday morning (Oct. 13), Joe Jonas and Charlie Puth announced the nominees for the 2015 AMAs and as expected, Tay Tay’s the most nominated one of the bunch, with six to her name. As Billboard points out, if the 25-year-old singer wins all six, including Song of the Year (for “Blank Space” from 1989) and Artist of the Year, she’ll dethrone Whitney Houston as the most decorated in AMA history.

Just breathing down TSwift’s neck are BFF Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd, who scored five nominations each. Nicki Minaj, Meghan Trainor and Sam Smith are up for four each.

The 2015 AMAs, hosted by Jennifer Lopez, will be handed out live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Nov. 22.
