Here’s Another Stunning Look at Eddie Redmayne in ‘The Danish Girl’

"Her courage is amazing," according to the Oscar winner.

Is The Danish Girl on your must-watch list this season? It should be.

The film is important for at least two reasons: Tom Hooper’s picture could earn Eddie Redmayne another Oscar nomination and hopefully, a second win; Lili Elbe’s real-life story as one of the first people to receive sex reassignment surgery needs to be heard by more people.

On Thursday, Focus Features unveiled a second, shorter trailer for the film, which also stars Alicia Vikander, Ben Whishaw and Amber Heard. Most of the clips are the same as the first preview, save for a poignant moment when Lili, as Einar Wegener (Redmayne), gives a hard look at herself before seeking the advice of wife (Vikander) and eventually, medical professionals.

The Danish Girl, based on the book of the same name by David Ebershoff, opens nationwide Nov. 27.
