Hillary Clinton Applauds Jennifer Lawrence for Her Wage Inequality Essay
Usually it’s the Hollywood stars who come out in support of the candidates, but not this time. Clinton is applauding J-Law’s recent essay on wage inequality in the industry.
“Brava, Jennifer,” Hillary wrote on her official Twitter. “It’s hard to speak up against inequity and risk being unpopular—but equal pay matters for us all.”
She linked back to Rolling Stone’s article on Jennifer’s essay.

Jennifer’s essay appeared in Lena Dunham’s feminist newsletter, Lenny, on Oct. 13, and was titled “Why Do I Make Less Than My Male Co-Stars?” In the 655-word piece, Jennifer addresses the touchy subject, also asking, “Could there still be a lingering habit of trying to express our opinions in a certain way that doesn’t ‘offend’ or ‘scare’ men?”
O Jennifer Lawrence I love you so. X

Recently, Lawrence expressed her blunt opinion when it comes to Donald Trump taking office, by saying it would be “the end of the world.” She told Entertainment Weekly, “I was watching him on the campaign trail and one guy said, ‘I love Donald Trump because he’s saying everything I’m thinking and I just can’t say it because of the PC factor.’ And I’m thinking, ‘You are absolutely right. That’s who I want representing my country, somebody politically incorrect. That will just be perfect.'”
