Lamar Odom’s Kidneys Are Reportedly Failing, May Need a Transplant
Lamar Odom health update: his kidneys are reportedly failing, and he has a long way to go in his recovery.
After being transported from Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center last night via helicopter to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles where he’ll receive specialized rehabilitation, TMZ has learned that now he may eventually need a kidney transplant.
Sources say “his kidneys are shot.” While all his other organs that failed have been slowly recovering, his kidneys have not bounced back. Now that he’s at Cedars-Sinai, he will undergo 6 hours of dialysis a day, but a kidney transplant might end up being necessary.
Of his transfer, People reports “Khloé and several nurses are with him. Lamar still can’t walk but has left the hospital in a bed.”
Meanwhile, Khloé has allegedly put things “on hold” with boyfriend and NBA star James Harden after it was previously being reported that he was completely understanding of the situation. A source told TMZ that “it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see she still has deep feelings for Lamar.”
So, guess we’ll see what happens from here, but at least Odom’s condition has improved. TMZ notes he’s not “out of the woods” yet, but things are looking up for him.
“He’s responsive, but there are so many things that could go wrong right now, and the doctors have still been guarded,” a source added to People. “Khloé has been praying a lot, both to herself and out loud to Lamar. She wants him to know that she’s still on his side, and that everyone is praying for him.”
Odom was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel last week. Pictures of him before his drug overdose have since despicably been published by the National Enquirer and by Radar Online. National Enquirer and Radar, of course, are known to be exploitive, and are the same publications that posted the last photos of Bobbi Kristina Brown on her deathbed.
