Kardashian and Odom have officially decided to give their marriage a second chance, TMZ is reporting.
According to TMZ, Khloé’s lawyer Laura Wasser appeared before a judge this morning (Oct. 21), asking the judge to withdraw their signed divorce papers. Khloé and Lamar’s divorce has not yet been finalized because the papers were waiting to be processed and signed by a judge. The judge granted Wasser’s request, so their divorce has effectively been dismissed.
Odom signed the papers from his hospital bed, TMZ notes.
The pair reunited last week after Odom was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel and slipped into a coma. He’s since woken up, been taken off of a ventilator, and is now recovering at a hospital in LA, while Khloé’s remained by his bedside throughout his entire ordeal.
Khloé filed for divorce in December 2013, but the couple held off from signing the papers until July. TMZ says she sat on it for over a year in hopes of saving their marriage by getting Odom to go to rehab. They have now apparently decided to stay husband and wife in light of Odom’s tragic hospitalization and near-death experience last week. She plans to remain by his side throughout the duration of his months-long recovery.
Yesterday, we reported that Odom’s kidneys were failing, but that he’d been discharged from Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center and transported via helicopter to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles with Khloé in tow. The reality star also spoke out on Lamar’s hospitalization for the first time, thanking the doctors at the Vegas medical center and everyone for their prayers.
