LISTEN: Adele Doesn’t Mess with Twitter Dot Com

Don’t forget the forward slash!

Adele called in to Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 BBC Radio show to discuss “Hello“, her forthcoming album 25, and give us that sweet Adele cackle that reminds us how much she was missed.

Adele reveals that she sat at home with her family watching “Twitter dot com” while the Internet erupted over the 30-second “Hello” snippet that aired during The X Factor UK. She deems its music video her greatest to date, and tells Lowe that re-entering the spotlight through such a conversational piece felt right as soon as it was written.

“I wanted to reach out to everyone, like people I know, people I don’t know, my fans, myself,” she tells Lowe. “I wanted to reach out to everyone, but I hadn’t had anything to say.”

Adele has decided that 25 will be her final age-titled album, despite the fact that she is actually currently 27-years-old. “Calling the albums after my age has always shown a photograph of what was going on in my life then and there,” she says. “I feel like not that much is gonna change profoundly in me from now in terms of how important eras of my life are.”

“I think the next one is probably gonna be called Adele, the real me.”

Adele plans to play shows with material from 25, yet remains shaky on committing to a world tour after having had to cancel prior tours on her fans due to illness.

“I wouldn’t want to let people down.”
