Adele Is Returning to ‘Saturday Night Live’ with Matthew McConaughey as Host

The Event Album We Deserve
Why We Need Adele's '25' Now More Than Ever

Lucky us: a day after her next album drops next month, Adele will be returning to Saturday Night Live as the evening’s musical guest.

After five years of no new music, Adele’s 25 (finally) drops on Nov. 20 (pre-order it now in case you haven’t so as to not miss out on the ensuing greatness). On Saturday Nov. 21, she’ll be hitting the stage with her already (unsurprisingly) infectious “Hello” and some other (brilliant, of course) new material, alongside host Matthew McConaughey.

Next month’s appearance marks her first since her 2008 SNL debut, when she came out with her first album 19 and sang “Chasing Pavements.”

Our tears just can’t wait, and we’re so looking forward to watching Adele belt out some yet-to-be-heard greatness.

MusicTimes also notes that Adele is reportedly set to appear on The Today Show and possibly The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in addition to SNL. Furthermore, she allegedly has a one-hour primetime special surrounding the release of 25 in the works as well.

Meanwhile, McConaughey hasn’t appeared on SNL since 2003, around the time he was making all those rom-coms like The Wedding Planner with Jennifer Lopez and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days with Kate Hudson.

Other upcoming musical guests include Sia on Nov. 7, and Disclosure with Lorde and Sam Smith on Nov. 14.
