George and Amal Clooney Just Adopted the Cutest Thing Ever

The Clooneys Take NYFF
This is how you festival, folks.

Adopt, don’t shop.

It’s what the Clooneys did this week. George Clooney and his wife Amal have given a forever home to Millie the basset hound. The San Gabriel Valley Humane Society shared the adoption news on its website on Wednesday (Oct. 29), along with a photo of the couple and their new pooch.

“They were searching for a basset hound and saw Millie’s picture on Petfinder,” according to the organization. “They did a ‘meet and greet’ with her and spent time introducing her to their other rescue, a cocker spaniel named Louie.”

Millie, 4, was found earlier this month outside a San Gabriel restaurant looking for food scraps.

It’s no secret Clooney has always been an animal lover. His potbellied pig Max was a constant topic of conversation nearly a decade ago. Max, who lived with Clooney for 18 years, made the journey to hog heaven in 2006.

“It’s strange how animals become a big part of your family,” Clooney told USA Today at the time. “They really become a big issue with you.”
