Lamar Odom Off Dialysis, Will Not Need a Kidney Transplant
Lamar Odom’s condition continues to improve as TMZ reports that the former NBA pro will not be in need of a kidney transplant afterall. Sources claim that Odom will be taken off of his 6 hours of daily dialysis based on his improvement over the past 48 hours. He currently resides on the hospital’s physical therapy floor where doctors can provide rigorous therapy to regain function of his motor skills that have been impaired from strokes.
The latest update on Odom’s condition revealed that he is able to walk with assistance from staff. “He is getting stronger every day,” a source told Us Weekly. “He’s 6′ 11″ and weighs a lot, so getting him to walk a little has been really hard.”
Odom’s legal wife Khloé Kardashian explained the current state of their relationship given controversy of the couple calling off their divorce in the latest issue of People magazine. “I want to be his support system,” she says. “Tragedy does make you reassess a lot of things, but when it comes to our relationship, it’s the same, except I’m here supporting him fully.”
