What exactly does it take to keep up with the Kardashians and then some?
Kris Jenner invites CNN Style into her home to reflect on balancing the duties of being a mom and a manager to six children. In an interview commissioned by Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing, Jenner deems the Kardashian clan “a mini United Nations” and speaks on its diversity.
“It’s just so great and brings so much criticism sometimes from people who just don’t understand,” she says. “Things get crazy, or you know, chaotic … you’re just trying to get it right and everyone makes mistakes. For sure, I’ve probably made a handful of my share.”
“I will drop anything to do something for the kids. That’s personal, way over anything business. They know that that’s just the rule.”
Jenner attributes her mother-daughter work ethic to her experience growing up with a mom and a grandmother who were also businesswomen. “Through the years I got a very good education that I never would have gotten from a proper schooling,” she admits. “Learning how to be accountable for what’s going on in your life. I think that I was able to pay that forward, if you will, to my kids.”
