Lil Wayne Miami Home Seized, Still Owes $2 Million in Jet Leases

Mayday, baby.

Lil Wayne’s Miami Beach mansion was seized on Tuesday, Nov. 3 by local police due to an outstanding $2 million judgment with Signature Group, a jet leasing company. TMZ reports that the rapper’s security refused to let Miami Beach police into his home. They explained they were there to seize assets within the house to satisfy his $2 million judgment among $200K in lawyer’s fees. According to helicopter footage, Wayne’s items were carted away into a truck.

The rapper was sued by Signature Group in September after missing payments during the first 2 years of a 3 year deal with the company. An original denied request for a police “break order” to enter Wayne’s home was reversed on Oct. 30 when a real estate agent who had been inside of the mansion confirmed that he had assets for seizure.
