WATCH: Chris Martin Is Living His Best Life Post-Gwyneth Paltrow
When goop things go bad, it’s not the end of the world.
Chris Martin opened up to 2DayFM’s Rove & Sam show on Monday, Nov. 9 about his transition into single life after consciously uncoupling from his wife of 12 years, actress and lifestyle blogger Gwyneth Paltrow. Martin revealed that he’s taking the Pinterest girl approach to mending his heart after reaching a “low place” in his life through inspirational quotes from wise prophets.
“Some friends gave me a book called Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl, and a poem called ‘The Guest House’ by Rumi, an Afghanistani poet,” he says. “And those two things started me off on this whole journey that’s ended up a few years later now where I just feel so happy to be alive.”
Ahead of the release of Coldplay’s seventh studio album that will feature music royalty Queen Bey, Martin admits unabashedly that he’s feeling hashtag blessed. “That may sound a little simple but I suddenly feel very grateful for all these things in my life,” he says.”
“I just feel happy to be alive and if it’s coming across then that’s because it’s real.”
