This Is What Aaron Carter Thinks of Nick Carter’s Baby News

There’s going to be a little Backstreet Boy in Nick Carter’s family, but what how does the singer’s younger brother, Aaron Carter, feel about having a nephew?

“I’m looking forward to being an uncle,” the 27-year-old told Celebuzz at the premiere of National Geographic Channel’s Saints & Strangers on Monday night. “It’s great to see my brother having a baby. It’s great and I’m excited for him.”

“I’m going to be here for him,” he continued of his brother, who is currently expecting his first child with wife Lauren Kitt. “It’s kind of hard to put into words.”

Though Aaron said he’ll “of course” be showering his future nephew with cool toys, he insisted that he’ll be a “responsible uncle” when it came to teaching him right from wrong.

“If [Nick] loves me enough, he’ll name him Aaron,” he joked.

According to Aaron, the Carter family will have plenty to talk about when he spends Thanksgiving with his brother. Baby news aside, he also revealed that the siblings — and Nick’s unborn son, by extension — are descendants of passengers on the Mayflower, the ship that brought the first Pilgrims to America.

“On my mom’s side actually,” Aaron noted. “We’re descendants of the Mayflower on the Fuller side. My grandfather was a genealogist so he found out what we’re descendants of the Mayflower.”
