Kate Winslet’s Daughter Was (Understandably) Envious of Her Mom’s Sex Scenes with Liam Hemsworth
Kate Winslet’s daughter is envious of her mother.
But when you hear the circumstances, you’d probably be envious, too. Kate recently revealed that her 15-year-old daughter, Mia, was ‘very jealous’ of the steamy scenes she shot with Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth, who played her love interest in their movie The Dressmaker.
“When I told my daughter that I was shooting the scene that day she spluttered… I took it to be jealousy. But I did feel quite bad for Liam. He’s a sweet guy but I couldn’t stop giggling,” Kate joked while appearing on The One Show.
Apparently, the slight feeling of awkwardness was mutual. Liam talked to E! News about those same scenes, saying he was a bit uncomfortable stripping down in front of the cameras.
“It’s always pretty awkward when you have to take off your pants in front of the crew and other actors and all that stuff. During the scene, it’s fine. You don’t feel uncomfortable whilst the cameras are rolling. As soon as it’s cut, and you’re standing around and you’re in your underwear, chatting to the crew… That’s when it’s weird and uncomfortable,” he said.
The Dressmaker, described as a “revenge comedy drama,” premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and will be released Oct. 29.
