Daniel Radcliffe is Honored with a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
Ten points for Gryffindor! (Sorry. We had to.)
Daniel Radcliffe’s name has been literally cemented in Hollywood forever, because today (Nov. 12) he was honored with a star on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The 26-year-old actor– who has starred in one of the most successful franchises of all time– appeared at the ceremony with his brand new no-hair look and flashing a wide smile as he greeted fans.
“It’s really an incredible honor,” he told Variety. “We (Brits) have a national embarrassment about people saying nice things about us, so I was taken aback at first but then I had a real sense of gratitude. Only about 20% of people who work in film and television end up on the Walk of Fame. It’s kind of amazing. I don’t know if they remove these things, but no matter how badly I mess up, they can’t remove it.”
Although it launched his career back in 2002, Daniel’s moved on from just playing Harry. He’s branched out to edgier roles in Hollywood, and even went nude onstage in Equus.
“I was shit-scared and 17 when I did Equus, which is the age when you’re most self-conscious. And I was very aware that a certain percentage of that audience was coming to look at my dick every night. Looking back, that was mental. I have a lot of respect for myself for having the balls to do it, so to speak,” he recently told Playboy.
Radcliffe is currently promoting his new film, Victor Frankenstein.
