Rebel Wilson: The Kardashians Have a Smear Campaign Against Me

The saga continues.

Just a week after after dissing Kendall and Kylie Jenner — and the Kardashian by extension — and proclaiming that they’re “not famous for talent,” Rebel Wilson is feeling the heat. Taking to Twitter, the Pitch Perfect 2 star accuses the reality TV family of launching a smear campaign against her despite her attempts to apologize for the remarks.

In a series of tweets, Rebel, 35, claims that the family’s publicist is out to get her even though she’s sent flowers as a peace offering. She writes:

This whole so-called feud first started when Rebel said in an interview with Australia’s Kyle and Jackie O radio show that she had turned down a request to present with Kendall and Kylie at the MTV Video Music Awards because she believes they’re not talented.

It’s not that you hate any of them individually, but it’s just that everything they stand for is against everything I stand for,” she explained at the time. “I know they’re super popular, but I am all about personality and working hard to get where I am.”

Kim Kardashian got famous from the sex tape and I just went to acting school and worked really hard,” Wilson said.

Since then, Oprah Winfrey even threw her hat into the ring and stood up for the Kardashians, arguing that filming a reality show is hard work.

“I interviewed the Kardashians two years ago and I can’t believe how hard they work. People don’t understand that, people think, Oh, if a television camera’s just following you, then that’s just easy,” the media mogul said on the same radio show days later. “To really create a reality series that looks like something’s actually happening, it means you have to be on all the time.”

“I went to film them as a family and I couldn’t believe how hard they worked. We were there for seven hours and they were gonna tape another seven hours after I left,” she said. “No matter who you are, that is work.”
