Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow have been opening up a whole lot more about their relationship following their ‘conscious uncoupling.’

Turns out, you don’t have to bare it all to do some damage to the World Wide Web...

Chris stopped by On Air with Ryan Seacrest to talk about Coldplay’s new album, Head Full of Dreams, and Ryan Seacrest couldn’t help but bring up the singer’s former relationship with Gwyneth and how it may have affected Martin’s songwriting.

“It seems like you and Gwyneth have done everything in your power to keep your family together at a time when the two of you may have gone your separate ways,” Seacrest said.

“Yeah, we have tried really hard,” Chris responded. “Just because a romantic relationship ends doesn’t mean that the other facets of your relationship have to end, or indeed, it doesn’t mean they can’t get better.”

Chris and Gwyneth have both spoken publicly about their decision to carry on as a family despite their split in March of 2014.

Since then, they have been spotted spending time together on vacations and outings with their children Apple and Moses.

“In listening to this, it seems like you’re in a peaceful place,” Ryan said of Coldplay’s new album.

“To be totally honest with you, I am so happy to be alive every day. I’ve done lots of work on it just to realize how lucky you are to wake up in the morning… That’s really how I feel. Even on the days when I wake up feeling depressed or a bit worried or whatever. ‘Well, I’d rather be here than not here,'” Chris responded.
