One Direction’s Hiatus Will Take a Little Longer Than Expected

Hey, One Direction Fans
Harry Styles has a sweet little message for you.

Liam Payne accidentally let it slip that One Direction’s “break” will be much longer than just one year.

…It’ll be two years, which for Directioners, means forever. On the same day they released their highly-anticipated new album, Made in the A.M., news about the band’s extended hiatus has come up. Though the band has mostly kept quiet about what we’ll be expecting during their hiatus — Niall Horan to play James Bond, Louis Tomlinson is going to be a dad — Payne spilled some information as to what the boys will be up to in the next two years.

He told the BBC Radio 1 show:

Obviously we’re all going to take a break for a little bit and consider where we are in the world. I just want to write songs, that’s been the most fun process out of this, except for touring, has been the writing of the songs and we’re going to come back so there’s something to write for as well, for us and other people .

We haven’t really had time to write an album and whereas two years off…Writing’s not really a job, it’s so much fun, we’ve always had to rush it so it’s nice in these two years I’m going to write some songs and see what happens.

That means we can expect One Direction no later than late December 2017? That’s exactly 24 months, 104 weeks, and 730 days. Pretty damn long, don’t you think? At least we have their new album to keep us busy — for now.
