Blake Shelton Saves Strangers Stranded in Mud Hole in Oklahoma

Blake Shelton can now add “hero” to his resume.

The country crooner is being deemed a hero for rescuing a group of strangers stranded in a mud hole in Oklahoma. Last week, while Gwen Stefani’s new boyfriend was headed home in between taping of The Voice to enjoy, he ran into a group of men who had become stuck in a mud hole near a river.

The rescues — Bryar Blanton, Lenyell Blanton, Josh Turner, and Adrian Poplin — opened up about Shelton’s help to ET.

Me and my buddies were checking out the river, when some of my buddies [accidentally] slid into a big mud hole and got stuck for about two hours. Me and Adrian started walking down the road [looking for help] and [that’s when] Blake and his dog, Betty, stopped and picked us up in his truck.

They also told E! News that when the singer’s truck couldn’t pull them to safety, he said he’d be back with his tractor. “Blake is an all around good caring guy,” Bryar said. “If it wasn’t for Blake, I would have been out there for countless hours. And yeah I would say he is a hero.”

Later on, Bryar took to social media to thank Shelton, and post a picture with the country star. “Just wanna thank you for helping us yesterday man,” he wrote.
