Chris Hemsworth Says Becoming A Dad Taught Him ‘What Love Is’

Chris Hemsworth certainly has his hands full at home.

He shares three kids with his wife Elsa Pataky India Rose (3) and twins Tristan and Sasha (19 months)– and Hemsworth says whenever they add another kid, “it feels like three more.”

The 32-year-old says despite the hard work, being a dad has made him feel a range of emotions. “The biggest thing I’ve learned by having kids is that now I know what love is. I know what frustration is. I know the full gamut of emotions, good and bad. I feel I had just scratched the surface prior,” he told Australia’s Daily Life.

Aside from chasing around his three kids (which he says feels like six) Hemsworth says he and Elsa wanted to feel like a normal family, which is why they chose to move back to his home country of Australia.

“We have a very normal existence,” he said. “Here, if someone recognizes you, it doesn’t tend to be as big a deal. People are like, ‘Oh yeah, cool,’ then onward with the day. If you are living in Hollywood, people have traveled from around the world to see people in the entertainment business and they’ve got the cameras ready and a bigger deal is made of it. Here, we have a very normal existence, people are very respectful, and that was why we chose to come here.”
