Kelly Clarkson Opens Up About Pregnancy Complications: ‘It’s Really Bad’
Kelly Clarkson is having a rough second pregnancy.
The American Idol alum, who is currently expecting a son with husband Brandon Blackstock, admits that she’s not feeling 100 percent these days. Sitting down with Gayle King in a pre-taped interview for CBS This Morning this Wednesday, the 33-year-old opens up about complications she’s having, including her need to get IVs put in.
“I’m familiar with all-day sickness,” Clarkson says, laughing. “I have to get IVs and fluids because I get so dehydrated. It’s really bad.”
For Clarkson, she’s gotten a lot of support from Blackstock to help her through her tough days.
“[He’s] the complete opposite of how my father was,” Clarkson says, comparing her husband’s parenting skills against her absent dad. “He was present. He wins for being around.”
Recently, Clarkson announced that she was canceling the rest of her 2015 tour as she “must remain on vocal rest for the remainder of the year” per her doctor’s instructions.
“I am truly sorry that I have to cancel the remainder of my tour dates. I was so looking forward to sharing this tour with all my amazing fans in Canada and the UK,” Clarkson said in a statement at the time. “Unfortunately my doctor is telling me I have to stay on vocal rest, but I am working hard to get better as fast as possible.”
