One Direction took home the Artist of the Year award for the second year in a row at the 2015 American Music Awards on Sunday, Nov. 22. Louis Tomlinson thanked the band’s fanbase for their unending support over the past five years before Liam Payne acknowledged the band’s upcoming hiatus.

The tween heartthrobs were also awarded their third consecutive trophy for Favorite Pop Group of 2015. Niall Horan and Harry Styles accepted the honor on behalf of 1D, thanking the fans once more. “We wouldn’t be able to do it without our fans and all the voting they’ve done for us,” said Horan. “It’s absolutely incredible. We love you very much.”

The band was among the top winners of the night, including Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, and Nicki Minaj, who each had two wins.
