16 Important Thanksgiving Lessons from Your Favorite ‘Friends’
Trifle with meat. Thanksgiving pants. Brad Pitt. Isn’t that what Thanksgiving is all about?
In honor of all the leftovers you probably still have and that feeling that will last for days (mostly due to all the eating, sleeping and more eating), we are extending our Thanksgiving celebration with the best show on planet Earth, Friends.
Over 10 seasons, Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Ross, Chandler and Joey taught us everything we needed to know about turkey day. Here are our favorite lessons.
Thanksgiving is about welcoming anyone, even if it’s last minute.
It’s about being in the same room, even if one of you is doing some hard thinking in a box.
Thanksgiving is about remembering the past…
… such as Joey’s first time sticking his head up a turkey…
… bad Thanksgiving hairstyles (and blazers) of yore…
… and past lives.
Thanksgiving is about family.
And good dessert. Even if it’s not supposed to have meat in it.
It’s about showing up no matter what time it is and how long it took you to win that first Grand Supreme Little Darling prize. (Good job, Emma).
It’s about laughter.
Induced by fear.
It’s about fierce hair flips.
And proper turkey attire.
But most of all, it’s about being with the ones you love.
Happy Thanksgiving. And Happy Holidays.
