Love Is Dead: Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid Break Up, Call Off Engagement
TMZ reports the Friends star and Snow Patrol guitarist have called it quits, and ended their engagement shortly before Thanksgiving. McDaid has already moved out of Cox’s Malibu and Los Angeles homes and returned to England.
TMZ reports they’ve “been struggling over lifestyle choices: She enjoys going out with friends, but he’s more low-key and private.” After trying to work things out in counseling, they ultimately mutually decided to put an end to it.
Cox recently posted a sweet photo in September of McDaid kissing her head:

The pair were introduced by their mutual friend Ed Sheeran in early 2014, and became engaged in June 2014 after six months of dating.

McDaid proposed to Cox at her daughter Coco’s birthday party, held at her best friend Jennifer Aniston’s house. At the time, the musician asked for the 11-year-old’s permission to marry her mom and also had help with the proposal.
Of the couple, Sheeran once said in an old interview with OMG! Insider, “I wasn’t allowed to talk about this, actually, but it’s just gone public so… My housemate [McDaid] who I’ve lived with for a year, I introduced him to Courteney Cox. They started dating and [are] crazy about each other…”
Courtney shares Coco with ex-husband David Arquette, who she was with from 1999 – 2013.
