Lionel Richie Sorta Kinda Has Plans to Collaborate with Adele

Lionel Richie Says to Adele: 'I Kind of Own Hello'
Greetings come at a high retail these days

He just can’t say “goodbye” to “Hello”.

Lionel Richie, “kind of” owner of “Hello“, revealed to E! News that he has plans to collaborate with “Hello” co-owner, Adele.

Kind of.

“We are going to be doing something together—that’s already almost in the works,” Richie told E! News. “I can almost say that we are talking, but right now she has a mission … [to] get her record out and go on tour, so until she finishes that cycle, that won’t happen just yet.”

Nicole Richie’s father says that he saw retirement flash before his eyes when he mistakenly thought that Adele covered his version of “Hello” before recognizing that she just used the same greeting in an original mega-hit. “What it did was it blew everything to the ceiling. The conversation came up,” hypothesizes Richie. “If you say Adele and you say Lionel or Lionel and Adele…that’s the best pairing you could have!”

Still, the iconic singer knows his boundaries and promises not to jump on stage of her tour.

Kind of.

“Can you imagine ‘Lionel Richie Jumps or Crawls Up on Adele’s Stage?’,” he laughs.
