LISTEN: Beyoncé and Coldplay’s ‘Hymn for the Weekend’ Is Perfection

Because apparently Beyoncé and Coldplay love us, they dropped the song “Hymn for the Weekend” today for all of us to listen/love/adore/dance to.

Listen to the pop jam below, featuring Beyoncé’s amazing vocals right off the bat. Blue Ivy also provides some backup singing:

Keeping it in the family, Chris Martin’s own kids Apple and Moses also sing in the chorus of “Hymn for the Weekend.”

Coldplay’s newest album A Head Full of Dreams drops Dec. 4, and they’ve already released a couple of tracks off the album like “Adventure of a Lifetime” (which they performed live at the AMAs) and “Everglow.”

Martin previously told the Wall Street Journal, “Everyone who got asked to sing on our album has an important part in our lives. The ‘choir’ started with my two kids coming in after school and recording. We recorded Blue Ivy Carter in New York when her mom Beyoncé was in the studio.”

“Hymn for the Weekend” debuted on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show. Listen to an interview with Coldplay’s bassist Guy Berryman in the audio above as well, in which he mentions that when Beyoncé came in to the studio to record, she was “in and out in five minutes.”

Thanks for making our Tuesday that much better!
