This Is What Michelle Tanner Is Up to on ‘Fuller House’ in Light of Olsen Twins’ Absence
As it turns out, Michelle Tanner is working on her fashion brand in New York, and thus too busy to appear on Fuller House.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will not be reprising their role as the youngest Tanner sibling on Netflix’s Full House reboot, as previously reported. According to Us Weekly, the writers will allude to the twins’ real-life job in New York as fashion designers for their lines The Row and Elizabeth and James.
So Michelle won’t be appearing on screen but, at least she’ll be thought of from afar. In addition, the Us Weekly source revealed that the girls’ classic catch phrase will be making an occurrence. The series’ characters will apparently prank-call Michelle by saying, “You got it, dude!”
Fuller House now has an initial 13-episode pickup, and will center on a recently-widowed D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron Bure) as she raises her three sons. Her sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and best friend Kimmy (Andrea Barber) move into her San Francisco home to help raise the kids. Bob Saget, John Stamos, Lori Loughlin, and Dave Coulier will also be returning.
Full House which ran for eight seasons before its end in May 1995. Fuller House will air on Netflix in 2016.
