Jennifer Lawrence Won’t Sign On For ‘The Hunger Games’ Prequel

But what is Panam without Katniss Everdeen?!?

Rumors of a possible prequel to The Hunger Games have been swirling for months, after Lionsgate vice chairman Michael Burns hinted at the idea of a spinoff. While many fans were excited at the idea of seeing favorites hit the big screen together again, Jennifer Lawrence made it clear at least one member of the trifecta is not on board.

When asked about the possibility of a prequel, Lawrence made it clear she wouldn’t be apart of it, not yet at least. “I wouldn’t be involved,” she told Variety at the premier of her new movie Joy, “I think it’s too soon. They’ve got to let the body get cold, in my opinion.”

While Lawrence didn’t completely shut down the idea of reprising the role the made her a household name, it’s clear that she thinks everyone, herself included, deserves a break from Katniss Everdeen.
