Kylie Jenner Urged by Police and Family to Cut Down on Social Media
Kylie Jenner, known as the queen of Instagram and Snapchat and all things social media, is being told by her family and the cops to cool it from here on out in the wake of a scary situation involving a stalker.
Police as well as her mom Kris Jenner are concerned the 18-year-old media juggernaut is giving her stalkers and obsessed fans too much access to her whereabouts and life by posting so much on social media.
According to TMZ, “stalkers and others up to no good are using [her posted pics] as a road map to her doorstep.” Which, if you think about it, isn’t too hard to believe: Kylie posts to Instagram and Snapchat on the daily and gets copious amounts of attention for it (she was, after all, the most liked Kardashian on Instagram, pulling in over a billion likes).
In addition to her posts revealing too much about her surroundings, they’re concerned she’s also way too flashy with her jewels, riches, cars, et cetera. “It’s an invitation for burglars and home invasion robbers to make their way to her home,” TMZ writes.

A recent incident with a crazed fan has police and her family more concerned than ever. The obsessed man tried to break into her house in her gated community, at least ten times. According to TMZ’s account, last week he tried to “strong-arm” his way past security and was put into a psych hold where he escaped (!). Police tracked him down and returned him to psychiatric hold, where they can hold him for only 72 hours.
Resultantly, the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department are also urging Jenner to get a restraining order because this way if he violates it and is arrested, he can be held for a longer period of time.
Despite Kylie’s pervasive social media use, she did admit in her recent Elle UK cover story that she plans on putting the kibosh on Instagram once she has a baby. “Once I have a kid I’m not going to be on Instagram. You know, I’ll probably delete my Instagram and just… I don’t know, live life,” she was quoted.
As for where she sees herself when she’s 95, the youngest Jenner commented, “I would love to have a family. And build a home with a farm in Malibu Canyon and just have my kids and throw away my phone, and just really, like, live my life and not do this anymore.”
And earlier this month, she told Interview, “I’m not myself on Snapchat or Instagram. That’s totally not me.” She added she doesn’t “find happiness within materialistic things…I’m way flashier on Instagram and Snapchat, because I feel like that’s what people want to see and that’s what I’ve always done, so I’m not going to stop. People want to see my cars and my purses. People love fashion. But that’s so not me.”
Welp, guessing now’s a good time to stop giving the people what they want. Keep in mind she boasts a following of 46.5m followers and counting.
