26 First-Time Nominees at the 2016 Golden Globes

With 2016’s first drunken affair awards show – the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards – just around the corner, let’s discuss the actors and actress who are first-time nominees, and Globe hopefuls this year.

Between the television and movie categories, there are 26 first-time nominees at this year’s Globes, including 2015’s fan favorites Amy Schumer (Trainwreck), Lady Gaga (American Horror Story: Hotel), Taraji P. Henson (Empire), Rami Malek (Mr. Robot), Brie Larson (Room), Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) and many, many more.

Meanwhile, both Alicia Vikander and Mark Rylance are first-time nominees with two nominations at this year’s Globes: Vikander in two movie categories, Best Actress, Drama (The Danish Girl) and Best Supporting Actress (Ex Machina) and Rylance in Best Supporting Actor (Bridge of Spies) and Best Actor, Mini-Series or TV Movie (Wolf Hall).
