Angelina sat down with Entertainment Tonight recently to discuss her role in the new animated film Kung Fu Panda 3 and she shared that Pax, 12, Zahara, 10, Shiloh, 9, and Knox, 7, have no desire to be actors. However, the whole gang did contribute some voice work with their mom for the animated sequel.
“They were kind of shy,” Angelina explained. “They don’t really want to be actors, but I didn’t want them to miss the opportunity. They came in, and they had a lot of fun with it.”
The four kids provided the voices for some of the lil pandas that Po (Jack Black) meets upon returning to his real home in the movie.
Speaking of parenting, the new movie is largely about the difficult challenge Po faces when reuniting with his biological father Li (Bryan Cranston).
“[The movie] handled it well, because it didn’t brush over it,” Jolie said. “It shows that it’s complicated and it’s not easy and it’s not over in a happy second.”
Kung Fu Panda 3 arrives in theaters on Jan. 29.
