According to Entertainment Tonight, Miss Bootylicious herself will return to the NFL’s main event, boosting Chris Martin and crew’s headlining performance.

Who run the world? Channing! In case there was ever a question, Elsa ain't got nothing on Beyoncé

Although these two have collaborated before, on Coldplay’s “Hymn for the Weekend” on their album A Head Full of Dreams, there’s gotta be a few (or a few hundred) artists we’d rather see Beyoncé tear up the stage with!

The Super Bowl Halftime stage is notorious for extreme and often random collaborations in attempt to garner wide appeal. So it’s easy to see why this choice makes sense. Also both Coldplay and Beyoncé have come out in support of Tidal, which promotes itself as a more artistic-centric streaming service.

Cagey as ever, the NFL has yet to confirm the news. However, Brian McCarthy, a PR rep for the National Football League tweeted this:

We’re betting more out-of-left-field artists will be added to the roster as the big day approaches. Or they could just get Adele to show up and make this the best halftime show that ever was. Hint hint.
