Vin Diesel Remembers Paul Walker in Tear-Jerking People’s Choice Awards Acceptance Speech

There Will Be a Final 'Fast & Furious' Trilogy, According to Vin Diesel
The never-ending franchise continues, and we're okay with that

“It’s been a long day, without you my friend…”

Last night at the 2016 People’s Choice Awards, the cast of The Fast and The Furious 7 won big, nabbing awards for Best Action Film and Best Film. Furious star Vin Diesel accepted the awards on behalf of the cast and crew and gave a speech that left everyone in the audience near tears.

Diesel began by thanking his producing partner and Universal Studios for believing in his vision, then even though he said he promised himself it wouldn’t get emotional, he can’t help but choke up when remembering Paul Walker.

“You know, as I was coming up here, I always do this. I say I’m not going to get emotional about, you know, winning these awards, and I was cool when I was sitting in my seat, and then they handed me two awards. One for favorite action movie and one for favorite film. You all thought that this was your favorite film. I think of Dom and Brian and I start to think of Paul. They said to make this short and sweet, so I will try to make this short and sweet. It was a labor of love.”
