Lamar Odom Released From Hospital, Recovering in Private Facility
Good news! Lamar Odom is finally able to leave the hospital.
For those of you following the 36-year-old athlete’s health woes closely, take a breath. According to E! News, his condition has improved so much, he was allowed to leave Cedars-Sinai hospital on Wednesday. Lamar is currently in a private rehabilitation facility continuing his treatment.
On Oct. 13, Odom was found unconscious in a brothel near Las Vegas. While in a hospital nearby, drugs were reportedly found in his system and the situation was largely treated as an overdose.
Khloé Kardashian, the basketball player’s ex-wife, spoke candidly with the Today show in Nov. about Lamar’s health and his progress.
“He is learning how to walk again and learning…cognitive therapy and speech therapy. They think, like, within a year and a half to two years that, mentally, he might be fully recovered. But they don’t know.”
Though the road to recovery will be difficult for Lamar, it’s encouraging to know he’s taking even the smallest steps to getting his life back.
