2016 Golden Globes: Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill Start the Night with Awkward ‘Revenant’ Bear Skit

Remember when Channing Tatum danced with Beyoncé? We liked that.

The Magic Mike XXL star kicked off the 2016 Golden Globes by introducing the first award of the night with a long and awkward bit with Jonah Hill about the infamous bear from The Revenant. Hill joined Tatum on stage, dressed in a $2 bear costume hat, to open up about his background as an ‘actor’.

“I’ve notoriously done zero press for the film,” said Hill. “I’m a Daniel Day [Lewis] or Tom Hardy type of actor who doesn’t like my face out there very much.”

The bear displayed his green ribbon for “honey awareness” and complimented Tatum on his “magical movie”, met with the gaping reaction that one would expect from such dad jokes.

Tatum must have exhausted his good fortune on wife Jenna Dewan Tatum prior to the main broadcast:

Tatum and Hill presented Kate Winslet with the Golden Globe for best performance by an actress in a supporting role in a motion picture.
