Grande and Sykes, 22, dated in 2013 after collaborating on a song called “Almost Is Never Enough” for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones soundtrack. The couple parted ways due to their busy schedules.

“We split because of the long-distance thing,” Sykes told The Sun in 2015. “There was that amazing moment at the start of the relationship where we both convinced ourselves, ‘Yeah, long distance won’t matter. It will be fine.’ But it was impossible.”

Grande’s ex-boyfriend, YouTube star Jai Brooks, later alleged that Grande had cheated on him with Sykes prior to the two singers getting together.

Currently, Grande is dating backup dancer Ricky Alvarez.
