Tweet at Amy Schumer with a joke at her expense, and she will respond.

17-year-old self-described “Emmy-Winning Film Critic, Entertainment Analyst” Jackson Murphy met Schumer at the Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday night (Jan. 17) and posted a selfie he took with the comedian on Twitter with a super sexist and sex-shaming caption:

Spent the night with @amyschumer. Certainly not the first guy to write that.

Ugh.

Schumer called him out, tweeting back:

And that’s when the public backlash began in the media. Murphy’s apology came shortly after, along with Schumer’s perfect response and acceptance of his apology, noting his comment was a “bummer”:

According to Variety, he also wrote, “I truly apologize. Thought you’d like the joke. I should leave the comedy to you! Thanks for the photo. Glad you won last night!”

The Trainwreck star fared well at the Critics’ Choice Awards, nabbing the MVP Award and attending with her hottie new boyfriend, Ben Hanisch.

Thank you so much Critics!!!

The Chicago furniture designer, standing next to her in the above pic, posted an equally cute photo of the pair from the awards show commenting that he loved her:

One more from last night because this girl looked insanely gorgeous and I’m in love with her.
