See Gal Gadot and Chris Pine in First Clips From ‘Wonder Woman’

Chris Pine Talks ‘Rogue-ish’ Role in ‘Wonder Woman’
Chris Pine has finally spoken up about his role in Wonder Woman.

Your day is about to get wonderful!

In a brand new behind-the-scenes video, Kevin Smith and Chief Creative Officer of DC Comics Geoff Johns share some of the first glimpses of the Wonder Woman movie and we gotta say, Gal Gadot looks like an absolute badass!

The character, who will first enter the DC Extended Universe in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on March 25, will definitely be shaking up the male-dominated superhero landscape of recent years. In the clips, she attacks on horseback, beats down soldiers, and generally looks epic.

The film will tell the demigoddess’s origin and how she comes to defend the human race. “We’re going to see her coming of age, the entire history, what’s her mission,” Gadot says.

“The greatest thing about Wonder Woman is how good and kind and loving she is,” says Patty Jenkins, the film’s director. “Yet none of that negates any of her power.”

Although Supergirl was certainly a positive step forward in attempting to offer some superhero stories centered on females, Wonder Woman appears to up the ante in all the right ways.

“Telling a story like this now is pivotal and important. The story of a very powerful woman,” says Chris Pine, who will portray Steve Trevor, Wonder Woman’s love interest, in the DC film.

We couldn’t agree more, Chris! Wonder Woman arrives in theaters June 23, 2017.
