How to Get Gwyneth Paltrow’s Amazing But Absurd Goop Products for Less: Home and Kitchen Edition
Gwyneth Paltrow recommends you buy a $70 Hyacinth Candle. We have better (read: cheaper) alternatives from Amazon.
Paltrow’s goop is the best of the best when it comes to celebrity lifestyle blogs. At once, goop is a guidebook for living well and zen and (basically) learning how to embrace your best self, and also an essential, elegantly curated reference guide for the best products (be it fashion, home, or beauty) to buy.
Now, not everything on goop appeals to only the Bachelor-watching, latté sipping gals and Park Slope moms…
In actuality, some of goop’s offerings are not only affordable but sensible, in an albeit excessive way. In between reading goop’s “Anger Detox” guide or an article about closet purging (appropriately entitled “The Lean Closet“), you’ll see that their products really hammer in the notion of what a “want” is versus a “need,” since undoubtedly most if not all of goop is evocative of things we desire but don’t need for day-to-day survival (e.g. who really *needs* an Automatic Nut Milk Maker*?! I sure don’t, but having made my own almond milk before, I sure do want one!).
That being said, Gwyneth Paltrow and goop offer some interesting products that will inspire an immediate trip to Home Goods – or, since we live in the Internet-dependent 21st century, an immediate perusal on Amazon!
This week we’re talking panini grills, a fancy braiser, knives, Hyacinth candles and all-purpose cleaners.
*It’s worth noting that the aforementioned Automatic Nut Milk Maker is fairly priced on goop at $110. Similar products on Amazon range from about $90 – $219, so go goop!
