Did Kit Harington Just Reveal Jon Snow’s Fate?
The British heartthrob got real about whether or not we’ll be seeing him again in Westeros!
Kit Harington spoke with Digital Spy recently about his role in the play Doctor Faustus, but unsurprisingly the chat soon turned to Game of Thrones. Since his tragic role in season five’s finale, the actor has been laying low. Which is understandable; protecting the wall from white walkers has got to take a toll!
Finally, the 29-year-old shared his thoughts on fans’ reaction to Jon Snow’s demise: “I was hoping that there would be an outcry of ‘why?’ and ‘oh god, no, no’ rather than ‘thank god’. That was the right reaction as far as I was concerned!”
Harington went on to explain that although the public outcry for his character’s return is deafening, what’s done is done. “People didn’t want me to die, but he’s dead. So there you go, everyone has to get used to it.”
Now, although that answer sounds pretty cut and dry, Game of Thrones is a world in which people return from the dead. Melisandre, the Red Woman, is apparently able to resurrect the dead, and that’s just one possibility. Boo! So many questions!
We’ll just have to see what unfolds in season six. Game of Thrones returns on April 24.
