WATCH: Janet Hubert Tells ‘Media Ho’ Stacey Dash to ‘Dash Away’ in Media Interview

While she has your ear…

Budding YouTuber Janet Hubert stopped by The Huffington Post on Thursday (Jan. 28, 2016) to continue voicing her opinion on everything she considers wrong in the world following her sound-off on Jada Pinkett-Smith. Hubert was shown the footage of Stacey Dash hypothesizing that the way to solve Hollywood’s diversity problem is by ignoring institutions of African-American culture altogether.

“We have to make up our minds,” says Dash in the controversial video. “Either we want to have segregation or integration. And if we don’t want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the Image Awards where you’re only awarded if you’re Black. If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It’s a double standard.”

Hubert was appalled by Dash’s commentary and proceeded to offer her some unique advice. “Somebody needs to slap the little bit of black she got on her off of her, okay? Because girlfriend has worked on BET more than most actresses have,” said Hubert. “I think she’s just saying this kind of bull because she wants sensationalism.”

“She’s working for Fox,” she continued. “And she needs a job, and she’s making a check, and she’s bringing controversy to herself. Stacey is a bit of a media ho.”

“I don’t feel anything for Stacey because she absolutely puts the struggle way back, way back. It’s just rude and wrong.”

“If we didn’t have BET, if we didn’t have those kinds of awards, we’d have nothing,” said Hubert. “We’d have nothing to honor those wonderful performances … And as far as Black History Month is concerned, I don’t even need to touch that because it’s so stupid.”

“Stacey,” Hubert concluded, “Just dash away, honey”

Hubert critiqued her Fresh Prince of Bel Air co-star Will Smith and his wife for boycotting the 2016 Academy Awards due to the list of white-dominated nominations.  “Maybe you didn’t deserve a nomination,” Hubert said of Will’s Oscars snub. “I didn’t think, frankly, you deserved a Golden Globe nomination with that accent, but you got one.”
