Kristen Stewart Lands Yet Another Campaign with Chanel, This Time for Makeup
Kristen Stewart is wearing yet another hat for Chanel. She’s been named the new face of the couture brand’s makeup.
The 25-year-old Clouds of Sils Maria actress will appear in Chanel’s “Collection Eyes 2016″ campaign, photographed by Mario Testino for what will surely be a beautiful black and white photo series. We can expect to see this in March.
According to Chanel and WWD, “With her modern, magnetic beauty, and free spirit, Stewart appears in a series of portraits embodying various facets of the contemporary Chanel woman.”
Her latest association with Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld is not much of a surprise: she’s been a regular at the couture shows for years (whether it’s the front row or walking the show itself, as she did alongside Julianne Moore for their autumn/winter 2015 haute couture collection); she’s posed for their ad campaigns in the past, including the brand’s 2014 Métiers d’Art Paris-Dallas collection; she starred in Lagerfeld’s short film “Once and Forever” as Coco Chanel herself; not to mention she was the face of both Chanel’s spring 2015 eyewear campaign and 11.2 handbag campaign.
This is, however, her first beauty campaign with Chanel. She previously did a beauty campaign with Balenciaga, when she was named the face of the brand’s fragrance, Florabotanica, back in 2012.
