Everything You Need to Know About the Yeezy Season 3 Show

The biggest event of New York Fashion Week is finally here.

In true Kanye West fashion, the rapper went all-out for the debut of Yeezy Season 3 on Thursday (Feb. 11, 2016). Not only were there new clothes to be seen at the fashion event, but the dad-of-two also simultaneously released his hotly anticipated albumThe Life of Pablo, for all of the world to enjoy.

Kanye’s familyKim Kardashian and the rest of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians gang — was also there to soak in the spotlight as Lamar Odom made his first public appearance since overdosing back in October 2015.

To help you keep up with Kanye and the clan, we’re giving you the highlights from the star-studded night (so no one would ever have to sit through a spotty video stream of the show again). Here is everything you need to know about the Yeezy Season 3 show/listening party.

1. Kim Kardashian debuted new blonde hair.

The reality star showed up rocking platinum blonde tresses. clad in a large fur coat, she — natch — sat next to Anna Wintour and her sisters.

2. Naomi Campbell was a model on the runway.

Though Kanye previously recruited members from his family for his runway shows, he enlisted help from fashion icon Naomi Campbell this time around. The statuesque supermodel stood out from the rest of her contemporaries, who solemnly posed on a raised platform clad in various neutral-colored pieces from the Yeezy Season 3 collection, in a black fur oat and a matching bodysuit. Naturally, she looked fierce AF.

3. Models had over 36 instructions and rules on how to act during the show.

Though the Yeezy Season 3 models stood still in a neutral position for most of the show, they were actually given strict and specific instructions as to how to behave. Rules they were told included “do not act cool,” “no fast movements,” “no slow movements,” “do not look at camera,” “no sexy posing,” and “do not break the rules.”

4. Lamar Odom was there with Khloé Kardashian by his side.

At the show, Lamar made his first public appearance since OD-ing at a Nevada brothel last year. He was seen walking around with estranged wife Khloé Kardashian by his side. The two even took photographs together backstage.

5. Kanye hinted at having sex with Taylor Swift on his new album.

Many people were quick to suspect that Kanye was re-igniting his feud with  Taylor Swift after rapping about having sex with a “Taylor” in his new song, “Famous.” “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / I made that bitch famous,” he said. Taylor’s brother, Austin Swift, responded by making a video of himself throwing his pair of Yeezy Boost sneakers in the trash.

6. Kanye rapped about Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian.

The family may be at war over Rob Kardashian’s new romance with Blac Chyna, but Kanye certainly doesn’t seem to mind the new relationship. He rapped in “Highlights,” “Blac Chyna fuckin’ Rob / Help them with the weight.”

7. Kanye wore a shirt with a portrait of his late mom and Robert Kardashian.

The emcee took photos backstage wearing a t-shirt featuring Donda West’s face on the front and Robert Kardashian’s visage on the back. Previously, Kanye claimed that they had helped him create his new record from heaven.

8. Kanye made his own video game.

At the runway show, Kanye told the crowd that he has created his first video game. Titled Only One: The Game, it features his track “Only One” and centers around his mother going through the Gates of Heaven. “Y’all act like shit is regular. You don’t understand I meet with everybody in San Fran and they diss the fuck out of me,” he said. “I want to make a game and say fuck you. That shit was hard to do, man.”

9. A lot of celebrities were there. Like, a lot.

The show had a very, um, eclectic guest list. Aside from the Kardashian family, attendees included Jaden Smith, 50 Cent, Lil Kim, Pete Wentz, Rosie O’Donnell, Austin Mahone, Jennifer Hudson, Bella and Gigi Hadid, Charli XCX, Busta Rhymes, Karlie Kloss, A$AP Rocky, 2 Chainz, Melanie Griffith, Chloe SevignyWaris Ahluwalia, and Jake Hoffman.

10. Kanye also thanked a lot of people.

Before making his exit, Kanye thanks Adidas, Jay Z, and Tyga for their support. He also gave props to Rihanna and Kirk Franklin for appearing on his album and shout-outs to Olivier Rousteing and Carine Roitfeld for helping him with his clothes and putting his wife on the cover of CR Fashion Book respectively.

11. 20 million people watched the Yeezy Season 3 livestream. 

TIDAL was streaming the entire two-hour event on its platform and so many people were watching it simultaneously that — surprise, surprise — everything started crashing. According to a press release, 20 million people were attempting to watch the stream during its peak.
