Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler Under Criminal Investigation for Defacing Rock in National Forest

Things are about to get rocky for this couple! Sorry…

Vanessa Hudgens and her fella Austin Butler spent Valentine’s Day exploring Sedona, Arizona, as well as Red Rock State Park where the couple decided to declare their love for one another by carving their names on one of the park’s rocks.

Now, according to TMZ, an investigation has been launched by the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest about the couple’s misconduct.

A federal law exists prohibiting “damaging natural surfaces or property of the United States.” The maximum penalty for such a crime is a $5K fine and/or six months in prison! It’s unlikely the two will face any prison time, but still!

This young couple broke the law proclaiming their love for one another on Valentine’s Day! Sweet. Sort of.
