The team behind The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt has drafted Geoff Stults to star in their NFL-themed CBS comedy pilot.

According to Variety, Tina Fey and Robert Carlock have teamed up with writer Jack Burditt for a multi-cam sitcom that centers around fictional outspoken football kicker, Daryl Thorkelson.

Thorkelson writes a tell-all book that reveals all of the NFL’s dirty little secrets, after he’s spent his career being tossed from team to team.

However, the book ends up causing an outrage within the league and threatens his career once he’s suspended.

The last time viewers saw Stults on television in uniform, he had the lead role in the short-lived Fox sitcom, Enlisted.
