Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt Remember the Time Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick Asked for Career Advice
Now we know who to blame for Lord Disick.
No matter how many years pass by, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt refuse to go away. It’s been years since they were a fixture on reality TV, and yet, they’ve still managed to convince someone their worth interviewing (if for nothing else than the free lunch tbh). In their latest interview with Vice’s Broadly, Speidi talks about how they made and lost their millions (again), Lauren Conrad (again), and which reality TV couple they’re taking credit for.
Pratt and Heidi have made no secret of the fact that they’d do almost anything for money, and for a while, that worked for them. “We were fame whores, getting literally a million plus a year in photos and being hated for it,” Pratt admitted, before revealing his greatest frustration, “It’s frustrating for me that people don’t recognize that this was genius. This was innovating!”
Their antics made them millions of dollars, and when their feud with co-star Conrad became public, it only fueled their fame, but almost as soon they’d shot to the top, they hit rock bottom. After The Hills was cancelled, the newly married couple fled to Costa Rica, and blew their fortune on six months of hotel room service, and came back home completely broke. “[The Hills getting cancelled] was our 9/11,” Spencer said, comparing his loss to one of the greatest tragedies in American history.
Another shocking revelation? Pratt and Montag take full credit for Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick’s reality TV romance. Heidi claims before the Kardashian family shot to fame, back during the first few seasons of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, they reached out to Montag’s sister Holly for advice. “She asked, ‘What do Heidi and Spencer do? I need [to know] all the exact things because we’re doing exactly what they do,'” she said.
Now that everything is said and done, Pratt and Montag still insist they would do everything all over, but Montag wishes, at least, one thing was different. Changing her tune from her most recent comments about her former friend and costar, Montag insists she has, “such a soft part in my heart for Lauren.” “I love the time that we had together. I really do appreciate everything that she did for me. I wish that it had turned out differently,” Heidi added.
