WATCH: Shia LaBeouf Is Spending 24 Hours in an Elevator Because Art

Shia LaBeouf Wants to Evict His Own Aunt from Manhattan Apartment
The movie star apparently wants to evict his aunt to repay a $1 million loan Shia gave his uncle.

The actor turned performance artist has a new project going down…and up.

Shia LaBeouf, along with fellow artists Nastja Säde Rönkkö and Luke Turner, are staying in an elevator for 24 hours, and streaming it online, of course.

LaBeouf, once known for his geeky, enduring characters in the Transformers films and Disney Channel’s Even Stevens, is now creating interactive performance art pieces. The most recent is titled #ELEVATE and is taking place in Oxford, England.

The 29-year-old will be speaking at Oxford University on Friday night and for the 24 hours on either side of the chat, Shia and the gang will ride up and down in an elevator at EC English Oxford in Gloucester Green, inviting anyone and everyone to come take a ride and have a chat with the movie star and his colleagues.

So, if you’re near Oxford, go climb in a tiny elevator and rub shoulders with one of pop culture’s most daring performers!
